For 50 years, Meals on Wheels of Sarasota has served our community by providing nutritious meals to our homebound neighbors unable to provide for themselves.

More Than A Meal. The benefit of our service is tangible – fewer hungry, malnourished, and isolated residents. Every day, dedicated volunteers deliver a warm greeting, a heart-healthy meal, and a safety check to hundreds of people; from homebound seniors and veterans to children with disabilities.

We Need Your Help. Each month we provide 11,000 meals free of charge to residents that cannot afford to pay for their meal. Because of support from generous people like you, hundreds of neighbors with touching circumstances are given nutrition. Oftentimes receiving the only hot meal and personal contact that day.

Frequently in dire circumstances and marginalized by society, our clients rely on our assistance to remain independent in their home. Furthermore, the concentrated growth of seniors in this region creates exceptional demand for support services.
